CDP is looking for a Capital Markets Account Manager to carry out our engagement with financial institutions including asset managers, asset owners and banks in the UK. Key responsibilities include:

• Building strong relationships with existing CDP signatories, financial institutions and capital markets participants as well as identifying new opportunities to grow the signatory base
• Leading engagement with CDP signatories on the core reported and modelled datasets, research offerings and in-house expertise at CDP
• Organizing webinars and capacity-building events with major financial institutions and investors and raising the profile of CDP’s capital markets work across the financial sector
• Utilizing knowledge and understanding of sustainable finance to further engage the broader capital markets
• Working with other teams in collaborative projects and activities such as the Science Based Targets campaign and Non-Disclosure Campaign to ensure CDP delivers maximum impact

Required skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years experience in account or relationship management experience to enable the successful candidate to increase awareness of CDP’s investor program, financial markets and environmental disclosure work.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to draw key messages out of CDP datasets, campaigns, initiatives and research for both internal and external audiences

• Strong ability to multi-task and prioritise amongst multiple stakeholders and projects

• Highly analytical approach able to navigate complex datasets and capital market nuances

• Proficiency in Excel

• Entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable in rapidly evolving landscape

• A passion for the environment and desire to drive action

Desired skills and experience:

• Experience in liaising with contacts at pension funds, insurance companies and investment managers

• An understanding of capital markets and the investment management industry with a passion for sustainable investment.

• Proficiency in CRM systems and Powerpoint

The Account Manager role is a full-time role based in CDP’s London office on Great Tower Street.

Salary 37,600-47,000, 30 days of holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, annual discretionary bonus (depending on the organisation’s performance), Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits.
