Job Purpose and Background

We are looking for an Associate Director, Business Development to contribute to the growth of our office in India. Reporting to the Director, India, you will work closely on marketing strategy, defining target segments, increasing business leads and sales generation. You will lead an enthusiastic young team to set targets and enable meeting goals to increase disclosure of corporates in India.

Key responsibilities include:
- Develop the CDP India Business and Marketing Plan in consultation with the India Director.
- Set yearly targets and prepare the marketing and sales strategy for meeting goals and target for India in a given timeline.
- Lead and manage the India client and stakeholder engagement teams and be responsible for the teams to achieve their objectives within the defined budgets and targets.
- Work with the India Director on marketing plans and profiling CDP’s brand to scale up.
- Help develop and execute India strategy and its implementation.
- Manage and motivate stakeholder engagement team and support them in achieving business targets.
- Responsible for new business development opportunities such as sponsorship, partnerships and speakers including creating and developing proposals and assist with the coordination of delivery of business development programs including events.
- Planning and delivery of Annual Report and Annual Event in India.
- Lead our corporate stakeholder's engagement in India including segmenting key target segments and clients, and thereafter leading, maintaining and strengthening relationships.
- Follow up on strategic partnerships leading to resource mobilization.
- Supervision of external communication and branding of CDP India.
- Representing CDP India at external events.
Required skills and experience
- At least 15 years of marketing and business development experience in India, with a strong track record of achievement.
- Experience leading and managing a team.
- Have a strong network and known to key businesses in the country.
- The ability to engage with CEOs and Heads of Sustainability along with the capability to converge them on a topic of ESG.
- Experience of working in a project management capacity.
- Experience of working on budgets, grants and resource generation.
This is a full-time WFO role based at CDP's New Delhi office for a fixed term of 1 year (with possibility of renewal basis performance).
Salary and benefits: INR 24,00,000 p.a. - 30,00,000 per annum exclusive of 22 holidays (annually) plus bank holidays, Medical Insurance and Provident Fund.
