Job Purpose and Background in summary
Supply Chain Team Japan promotes the membership of the Supply Chain program in the Japan region. The team works with leading corporate members to strengthen their supplier engagement through the CDP platform. We are looking for an Account Manager who works with passion to fulfil our mission, contributing to our team by delivering and expanding memberships in the region.

Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing, maintaining and leveraging relationships with Supply Chain Members who are working in the sustainable supply chain and procurement field;
- Managing relationships with existing members including advising on current best practice and providing strategy support towards sustainable supply chain goals and ambitions;
- Supporting member companies' engagement around annual supplier disclosure through communications support and providing capacity building content for suppliers and procurement teams;
- Management of membership agreements, including annual renewals, negotiation of terms and conditions, execution, and billing;
- Responding various types of inquiries from member companies and their suppliers;
- Delivering analysis of supplier data and facilitating member integration of data into procurement processes and decision making;
- Helping to create community and networking among members to share experience and good practices;
- Other work, as required, supporting global program initiatives and collaborating with other CSC teams to drive CDP impact and engagement objectives;
- Presenting on webinars and at events to raise awareness and develop new leads for future members of the program;
- Recruiting new members for CDP's Supply Chain program and general business development for the program in Japan;
You will have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria:
- Experience in business communication, especially strong in excellent business terminology and confident in interacting with senior contacts.
- Strong networking, sales, listening and negotiation skills.
- A clear understanding of the objectives of CDP's supply chain programs and a strong belief in CDP's impact.
- Data analysis and/or thorough research skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite, with particular emphasis on Excel.
- Highly technical ability to understand manuals and accurately use software and tools.
- Proficiency in good and correct Japanese, while at the same time possessing sufficient English language skills to communicate with global teams and understand technical documentation.
Desirable criteria (optional)
- Existing knowledge of climate change, deforestation, water security, and other related issues such as Nature from a business and procurement perspective.
- Experience with public speaking, presenting, or delivering online content.
- Empathize with CDP and its mission.
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Salary and benefits: Up to Yen 6,000,000 per annum
Contract: Full time / 1 Year (renewal every year)
