Associate Product Owner – Authoring
Job Purpose and Background in summary
In 2023 CDP underwent a complete digital transformation, seeing us transition the annual disclosure cycle from a human-intensive and vendor-dependent stack, to a completely in-house developed, modernised and scalable product that will revolutionise the customer-experience for both external and internal users. As part of this transformation, we also built completely new teams within the Digital directorate, spanning across Design, Product, Infrastructure, Architecture, Engineering and QA.
We are hiring an Associate Product Owner to support the delivery of the questionnaire to our external customers as part of the wider Disclosure platform. This role will work closely with a squad of software engineers, QAs, designers as well as Product Owners to embed best practice Product Agile methodologies. They will work with a wide group of stakeholders across the organisation to analyse business needs, formalise requirements and prioritize the roadmap. They will support the lifecycle of authoring and questionnaire management products and features to deliver scalable, customer centric, efficient features and tools.

Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with internal users and stakeholders across the organization to gather and analyze business needs, pain points and inefficiencies.
- Translate business requirements and needs into well-understood technical specifications, user stories, process diagram and other supporting documentation to ensure requirements are captured clearly and concisely.
- Support on the continuous development of the product roadmap, ensuring it aligns with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different functions to ensure the authoring and questionnaire management system aligns with internal processes and enhances overall efficiency.
- Work within a multi-disciplinary squad with an Agile methodology to deliver work efficiently.
- Conduct analysis to identify areas for optimization and improvement of authoring and questionnaire management processes.
- Prioritise and resolve conflicting business needs and plan work increments accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product and data provisioning, and recommend innovative solutions to improve user experience and system efficiency.
You will have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria:
- Proven experience as an Associate Product Owner or similar role within a Product-led organisation, with a focus on data collection, survey methodologies and admin tools
- Familiarity and experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with in-house employees from various functions, as well as technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to drive user adoption and provide training and support.
Desirable criteria (optional)
- Experience working with charities, NGOs, or similar organisations preferred
- Knowledge, interest, and passion for the environmental and / or sustainability space will be an advantage
This is a full time/part-time role based at CDP’s London office reporting to the Questionnaire Product Owner.
